Several authors have used Fourier inversion to compute prices of puts and calls, some using Parseval’s theorem. The expected value of max (SK, 0) also arises in excess-of-loss or stop-loss insurance, and we show that Fourier methods may be used to compute them. In this paper, we take the idea of using Parseval’s theorem further: (1) formulas requiring weaker assumptions; (2) relationship with classical inversion theorems for probability distributions; (3) formulas for payoffs which occur in insurance. This paper addresses the calculation of a fair profit sharing rate for participating policies with a minimum interest rate guaranteed. The bonus credited to policies depends on the performance of a basket of two assets: a stock and a zero coupon bond and on the guarantee. The dynamics of the instantaneous short rates are driven by a Hull and White model, whereas the stocks follow a double exponential jump-diffusion model. The participation level is determined such that the return retained by the insurer is sufficient to hedge the interest rate guaranteed. Given that the return of the total asset is not lognormal, we rely on a Fast Fourier Transform to compute the fair value of bonus and guarantee options.  相似文献

In this paper we compare different multifactor HJM models with humped volatility structures, to each other and to models with strictly decreasing volatility. All the models are estimated on Euribor and swap rates panel data maximizing the quasi-likelihood function obtained from the Kalman filter. We develop the analysis in two steps: first we study the in-sample properties of the estimated models, then we test the pricing performance on caps. We find the humped volatility specification to greatly improve the model estimation and to provide sufficiently accurate cap prices, although the models has been calibrated on interest rates data and not on cap prices. Moreover, we find the two-factor humped volatility model to outperform the three-factor models in pricing caps.  相似文献

对一般的Markov调制L′evy模型,利用Fourier Cosine级数展开原理得到欧式期权价格的计算方法。进一步,为了改进期权定价的Fourier Cosine级数展开方法的计算精度, Fourier Cosine级数展开的对象进行了修正,获得了欧式期权价格的修正Fourier Cosine级数展开计算方法。此外,还将获得的方法应用于Markov调制Black-Scholes模型, Markov调制Merton跳扩散模型和Markov调制CGMY L′evy模型期权定价的计算。具体的数值计算说明:修正Fourier Cosine级数展开方法应与Fourier Cosine级数展开方法相比,收敛速度要慢一些,但准确性却有很大的提高。特别是对Markov调制纯跳模型,效果更为显著。  相似文献

In this paper, we study the optimal investment–reinsurance problems in a risk model with two dependent classes of insurance business, where the two claim number processes are correlated through a common shock component. Under the criterion of mean–variance, two cases are considered: One is the optimal mean–variance problem with bankruptcy prohibition, i.e., the wealth process of the insurer is not allowed to be below zero at any time, which is solved by standard martingale approach, and the closed form solutions are derived; The other is the optimal mean–variance problem without bankruptcy prohibition, which is discussed by a very different method—stochastic linear–quadratic control theory, and the explicit expressions of the optimal results are obtained either. In the end, a numerical example is given to illustrate the results and compare the values in the two cases.  相似文献

This paper studies the optimal consumption–investment–reinsurance problem for an insurer with a general discount function and exponential utility function in a non-Markovian model. The appreciation rate and volatility of the stock, the premium rate and volatility of the risk process of the insurer are assumed to be adapted stochastic processes, while the interest rate is assumed to be deterministic. The object is to maximize the utility of intertemporal consumption and terminal wealth. By the method of multi-person differential game, we show that the time-consistent equilibrium strategy and the corresponding equilibrium value function can be characterized by the unique solutions of a BSDE and an integral equation. Under appropriate conditions, we show that this integral equation admits a unique solution. Furthermore, we compare the time-consistent equilibrium strategies with the optimal strategy for exponential discount function, and with the strategies for naive insurers in two special cases.  相似文献
